Jaxen's Fun Day & St Augustine Cruisers Car Show - May 1st (9am-2pm)

Hey Friends! We've partnered with 501c3 nonprofit 88 Blessings Inc. founded by Erica Wilson and her son Allen Hurns, Miami Dolphins Star, Allen Hurns to host a special fundraiser Saturday, MAY 1st, 2021 for a very special little boy named Jaxen who has been battling a very rare brain cancer for almost 2 years.

Who is Baby Jaxen? Jaxen's a very bubbly, outgoing 5 year old boy that enjoys baseball, monster trucks, cooking, animals, Spiderman and of course McDonald's. He also has a sense of humor out of this world with a smile to match! During a MRI visit on May 19th 2019 he was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), which is a rare brain cancer with a less than 1% survival rate. Jaxen has completed 6 weeks of proton radiation, chemotherapy, followed by a clinical study in Gainesville FL which stabilized his tumor. In September 2020 they were notified after a follow-up scan that his tumor was progressing. They decided to start a low dose chemotherapy paired with steroids to slow down the growth and reduce swelling on the brain. Unfortunately, the treatment is no longer working and they have discontinued treatment. Jaxen, is now unable to walk, talk nor consume nutrients via mouth and is dependent upon his family to care and meet his daily needs. May 19th makes two year's of this uphill battle and this sweet boy has not complained one time. They've had a great run and are now concentrating allowing Jaxen to live his best 5 year old life. His amazing mother had to quit her job again to be a full time caregiver and spend as much time as possible with her sweet boy.
